Unit 3 Life in the future

Warming up and reading   First impressions                           

Step 1 Lead in    See some pictures and imagine our life in the future.

Step 2 Fast reading  Summarize the main idea of the passage and of each paragraph.

Step 3 Careful reading

1. Listen to the Mp3 and catch the adj. describing Li Qiang’s feelings.

2. Finish a T or F task

3. Work in pairs. Design questions and play a game.

Step 4 Consolidating

Watch a video. Working in groups of four, discuss what our life will be like in the future.

Step 5 Homework

1. Organize the notes you have collected from the discussion.

2. Write a passage about the life in the future in your mind.

 

 

评课记录:

19中王老师:授课教师非常亲切,极具亲和力。在阅读的处理上,让学生把书本关上,MP3并写下所听到的第一、二段的形容词,这一设计对学生来说有些难度,但是学生完成的不错。之后的学生间提问学生间回答也做得很好。视频选用得也贴题,延伸了课本知识。

7中宋老师:赞同王老师的观点。Spot dictation很有特色,把听纳入到阅读中,令人耳目一新。另外,在程老师的设计安排下,学生活动相当多,如听、推理判断、互问互答、小组讨论等,学生积极性全被调动起来,学生的主体地位十分突出。

一中马老师:这是第二次听程老师的课,比起第一次我进步很大。编排变动很大,一开始时视频上有中文,这一次没出现了。这个视频选取的恰当,年轻老师就是头脑灵活啊。然后我指令清晰,各个步骤过渡流畅,上得很好。

12中涂老师:本次授课有6个特点:1、创新思维,这体现在学生的互问互答上;2、调动了学生,盘活了学生;3、既有语言输出也有语言的输入;4、课堂学生人数多但是程老师做到了尽量不留空白;5、设计了小组活动;6、整堂课关注并且显示了学生语言的口语能力。

来我校交流的2位外教也对我的课进行了评论。

Stephanie Frank:There are some differences between our classes and Chinese classes. We spend 2 hours giving a lesson, but your time is 40 minutes. We will want volunteers if questions or tasks are given. However, Chinese teachers usually call students’ names. Students will get certain grades if they finish their tasks in our country. We often try to get students to think: How can I do it better? What else can I do to improve it? In this class we see the teacher tries to get the students to take part in the teaching activities, and I love activities too. It’s good to draw a conclusion or give some advice at the end of class, I think I’ll try it next time in my class. Thank you, Miss Cheng, it’s really a good idea.

Shawn Higa: I have some things similar to Frank’s. Students in our school are good at

writing, while the students in Cheng’s class are good at communicating. I think communicating is more important for students, because they should use language to communicate with each other. Usually our students watch videos at home, and they discuss and write in class. However, it’s different in Cheng’s class. Her students watch videos and discuss in class and write their passages at home.

最后李津茜老师进行了总结:We have seen Miss Cheng grow a lot and change a lot from today’s

class. Also it is a good opportunity for us to improve ourselves. I hope we can organize more

activities like today’s, because everyone really benefits from it.
